Oh werd?

“I’ve always hated that the Beast morphs back into a human at the end of Beauty and the Beast. He was far more intriguing to me in animal form.”

I kinda agree. A lot actually. I hear a lot of people debate that though, saying how it’s a curse/punishment, blah blah. How he needs to be human again etc etc. Don’t care.  That him turning human again is the reward blah blah, yeah i get it.  I just feel like the whole , ” i love you for whats on the inside thing ” , is kind of meaningless when at the end it’s all ’ but it’s ok becuase he’s a hot prince again ‘. Wouldn’t finding someone to love you as is be reward enough? The movie would have been fine just like that. As a matter of fact, him changing back into a human kind of enforces the ideology that you can change a person if you work hard enough at it/are patient enough. Whether that thing you want to change in them be a attitude thing or a looks thing. Whichever it may be , they’re not fine the way you are, and Adam, even having found a true love bond with Belle, changing back into a human displays that.
I think this type of message is better conveyed  in the Shrek movies, where Fiona DOESN’T get to change back into a princess. And she even mentions in the second movie , ” Ive made changes for YOU Shrek “. What did Belle really do? I mean what sacrifices were really made there, aside from being away from her dad. That’s rough,  sure,  but she didn’t even like living in that town all that much anyway and wanted to get out either way.  And she got to live in a mansion, an enchanted mansion, and had all the singing dining-wear and free books a girl could want. Gimmie a break. #Disneyfirstworldgirlproblems
